COMPANY HISTORY

First, it was the realization that when you wear gloves you can’t use your touchscreen phone. The glove material blocks the conductive signal that runs the capacitive screen on my iPhone for simple functions like taking a photo or unlocking your phone.

Originally, Lawrence Crook developed the first Smartglove™ prototype to work on an iPhone using highly conductive silver coated material integrated into the glove design on the fingertips. Only on the fingertips where you naturally text on a touchscreen device. They had the best accuracy and dexterity on the market.

Slide’em develops and launches the original Smartglove™ for mechanics, sports, cold climate and more. The world’s first touchscreen gloves that worked on all 10 fingers. Smartglove™ is trademarked under Slide’em Inc for all glove categories.

The demand for Slide’em Smartglove™ technology quickly became recognized around the world and the touchscreen glove category started trending. Slide’em develops a new highly conductive synthetic material to improve durability and accuracy.

Slide’em Inc. starts private label glove programs for International companies, brands and even other glove manufacturers looking for Smartglove™ technology materials. Slide’em Inc. designers are experts in wearable technology glove design and innovation.

Slide’em completes the Innovation Centre in China for development of gloves. Slide’em becomes incorporated in Canada and is honoree CES Innovation and Design Award for Wearable technology. It is the first touchscreen glove to receive the CES award.
